This, thus far, has been the most difficult NaNo yet. Not because of the novel or the characters or life, but because the spirit of my inspiration has been turned toward fantasy all month, and while Acceso is many things, ‘fantasy’ is not one of them. I’ve been plugging away, but this month is more ‘shoulder to the grindstone’ than NaNo usually is. So, when I’m not writing, I’m reading Wizard’s First Rule and The Silmarillion and drawing. A lot. My new sketchbook is a thing of beauty, and has gotten a lot of hard use over the last week. Since I often get requests to post more artwork, here you go. You can see evidence of my wandering mind.
Sauron, before Numenor
Jenny’s spitfire, Filigree
Deadpool…
…and a Deadpool selfie
Hades and Persephone
Gandalf vs. Olorin
Thranduil is brought news of his wife’s death (I really tried to play with emotion on this one; to show shock and pain in someone who still maintains a stony exterior. I don’t know how well I did, but I like the sketch.)
Thrannykins again
Nimloth
“Do you know how the orcs first came into being?”
